The Black women’s Media Project

About BWMP

Blog Summary Widget

Over the past three years, the BWMP has conducted more than a dozen completely free, self-care retreats for men and women in the African American community and beyond. The need for these retreats has been so strong that we had to add an additional retreat last year (in April ’09), and the most recent retreat (in October ’10) had the highest turnout of any retreat yet (over 200 men and women), and for which we had to turn away more than 50 people. The need is strong, the work pushes on!
